NikwaxDown Proof - Dry treatment
Do you want to create rain protection, reduce weight, and maintain the insulation and breathability of your down garments in cold and wet weather?
It's easy with Nikwax Down Proof®, specially designed for down garments and equipment: down jackets, vests, sleeping bags, etc.. Nikwax Down Proof is easy and quick to apply in a washing machine or by hand. It creates a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) treatment that develops during drying.
This provides you with protection against rain and condensation and improves the natural insulation properties of your down.
Applying in a washing machine allows the treatment to thoroughly penetrate the garment (fabric and down). The water repellent develops during drying. It is recommended to use a tumble dryer to ensure the down dries as quickly as possible because down can get damaged if it remains wet for too long.
This product is environmentally friendly. It contains no fluorocarbons or harmful solvents.
Application method:
- Remove any detergent residue from the detergent compartment,
- Place the clean garment in the washing machine (maximum 1 garment),
- Use 150 mL for one garment,
- Select a synthetic cycle at 30° and slow spin.
