A useful invention based on Nikwax

It was in 1977 that the first Nikwax products were born. Their inventor, Nick Brown, an outdoor enthusiast, had the idea to create a non-softening waterproofing wax for leather shoes that specifically met his own needs. From wax, 'wax' in English, and an inventor named Nick, Nikwax was born. Originating from Kent, Nikwax, thanks to its effectiveness, quickly saw its demand increase to become an international leader in hiking maintenance products, but not just that. Nikwax today boasts over 40 years of expertise and partnerships with major outdoor brands such as Salomon and The North Face. The waterproofing elastomer TX.10i based on EVA corresponds to the same material found in the flexible soles of shoes.
