Karpos, the passion for the mountains

Although the Karpos brand has existed since 2007, its story begins long before. In 1946, the Cremonese family established a wool spinning mill in Fonzaso, a small Italian town at the foot of the Dolomites. A few years later, the son of the founders, a keen sports enthusiast, participated in a cross-country skiing race wearing a suit made from stretch fabric, offering a freedom of movement never seen before. This marked the beginning of the adventure. After creating various sportswear brands dedicated to cycling, the Cremonese family decided to launch a new range focused on the mountains: Karpos. The brand quickly developed and offered increasingly high-performance equipment. This is evidenced by the Karpos jackets and the collaboration with Ueli Steck. Engaged in 2017 and ending far too soon, this collaboration was a real turning point for the family business. It marked the launch of the Highest range, demonstrating the brand's strength in terms of innovations, research, and technologies. Since then, Karpos Outdoor has offered a wide range including, among others, men's jackets and women's down jackets dedicated to mountaineering and altitude.
