MTB Shoes

Giro Shoes: The Beginning of Renown
Every great story has a beginning, and the tale of Giro started in California in 1985. From the hands of industrialist Jim Gentes, the first prototypes emerged, including the famous Giro Prolight, which was pre-ordered for $100,000 at its public debut. Numerous innovations followed across various products until 2010, when the first Giro Shoes were launched. Quickly, the original model and its successors were noted for their comfortable fit and exemplary adaptability. And while the motion of a foot pushing on a pedal may seem simple, doing so with a Giro Shoe made it more enjoyable than ever before. Now worn by top riders in the Tour de France, Vuelta, and even the Red Bull Rampage for MTB, Giro Shoes have carved out their place in the cycling world.
Giro Shoes: Models for Every Foot
Whether you ride road bikes or mountain bikes, there will always be Giro Shoes to equip you. From automatic pedal performance on the road to pure downhill riding with flat pedals, Giro offers shoes for every format. Let’s take a look at their range. For road cycling, you’ll find Giro road bike shoes that are very snug. All compatible with automatic pedals, they are designed for this purpose. Regarding their fastening system, some models feature Velcro, classic laces, and others have adjustable straps. For optimal support and fit, some models are equipped with the BOA system. On the mountain bike side, it’s the same story. On one hand, there are models for automatic pedals for more All-mountain or Enduro practices, with lace, Velcro, or BOA closures. For the more advanced models like the Sector, the closure even uses a double BOA system for even more precise tightening. For more demanding practices like downhill MTB, models with a non-slip sole will be the most suitable. Giro Shoes for MTB are designed to ride efficiently once on the pedals, but also to walk comfortably for sections where carrying is necessary. Whether you are familiar with the quality of Giro Shoes or are looking for a new pair, we invite you to explore their collection. You shouldn’t have any trouble finding what you love.
Giro Shoes: Discover Our Selection on Hardloop
As we suggested earlier, there are Giro Shoes for every practice. Therefore, we have selected our favourite models to make your task easier. Before you rush to grab a model that catches your eye, make sure to choose the right size. To do this, it’s important to measure your foot length accurately and refer to the Giro Size Guide available on the site. To measure your foot length, place an A4 sheet against the wall and stand barefoot on it. Mark the end with a pencil and then measure the length obtained. Be careful, as we often have one foot slightly larger than the other; make sure to measure both feet and choose the size based on your largest foot. If you know you have particularly wide feet, don’t hesitate to choose the next size up; otherwise, your Giro Shoes might be uncomfortable. This especially applies to automatic models; for more sneaker-like MTB models, the city size usually corresponds. To help guide you in your choice, here’s a sample of Giro Shoes that we recommend:Giro Savix: a road bike shoe with very precise Velcro and BOA lacing. With a fitted and breathable outer upper, your road outings will be even more enjoyable.Giro Cylinder: we stay in the spirit, but with a more MTB cut this time. Still featuring quick Velcro closure, combined with the L6 BOA dial that allows for millimetre adjustments to the Giro Shoe on your foot. Gain speed with the Cylinder!Giro Rumble VR: one last Giro Shoe for a more versatile use. The Rumble VR allows for both an automatic pedal insert and riding on flat pedals. Effective on the bike, they will also be comfortable for walking and for the more delicate areas where you need to carry your bike. Comfort by Giro!
