Primus, born in a blacksmith's workshop in Stockholm in 1892 thanks to F.W. Lindqvist and J.V. Svenson, is famous for creating the first soot-free kerosene stove. The name Primus, meaning "first", quickly became synonymous with reliability. Primus stoves were chosen for legendary expeditions, such as Roald Amundsen's to the South Pole in 1911 and the ascent of Everest by Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary in 1953. From its beginnings, Primus has embodied innovation and trust in extreme adventures.

Primus, 130 years of history
The story of the Primus brand began in 1892 in Stockholm, when two trekking and hiking enthusiasts developed the world's first kerosene stove. This lightweight, foldable cooker marked the start of the Swedish company's adventure. Quickly, the brand gained a small reputation, and Primus stoves soon equipped many hikers, adventurers, and mountaineers. From Sweden to the poles, across deserts and up to the summit of Everest, Primus equipment has accompanied some of the greatest explorers. Thanks to numerous innovations, the brand offers camping stoves, cooking utensils, and insulated bottles perfectly suited for all your outings. All the brand's essential products should be at the bottom of your bag for various activities. Often awarded for its innovations, commitments, or the reliability of its products, the Primus brand is capable of offering a complete range of equipment designed to nourish the most daring. Practical and eco-friendly, the Swedish brand's equipment will accompany you on all your outings.
Primus equipment for all outings
Whether it's a ski touring trip, a multi-day trek in the Queyras, or climbing a high peak, Primus equipment will be by your side. For example, the Lite Plus Stove System is a compact, lightweight gas stove that is easy to use and can boil 50 cl of water in under 3 minutes. The kind of stove to have with you when sleep time is short at the end of the day, so that eating is no longer a chore. Paired with a gas cartridge like the Cover Gas 230, you can be sure of having a hot meal at every break. Also, enjoy the various cooking sets from the brand, and indulge in camping cuisine worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant! Besides eating, you need to think about drinking, and Primus does that too. The brand offers a whole range of flasks and insulated bottles to keep your liquids cold or hot for long periods. The Vacuum Bottle 0.75L is particularly handy for carrying boiling tea to enjoy at the summit or, conversely, ice-cold water to quench your thirst. With simple yet effective designs, carefully chosen materials, and proven practicality, the Swedish brand's bottles hold a special place in our product offering.
