The story of the Alpine Stars brand began in 1963 when a shoemaker named Sante Mazzarolo started developing his first leather boots for a sport gaining popularity at the time, motocross. A fan of this mechanical sport, Sante quickly saw the opportunity to apply his technical talent to design a new type of motorcycle boots that combined foot protection and style. Soon, the motocross boots from the star brand gained popularity across the Atlantic and became a true standard for the practice. To produce the most technical products, Alpine Stars surrounded itself with the most experienced riders of the time, and by the early 70s, Roger de Coster became world champion with Alpine Stars boots on his feet.

Safety first - this has been the principle of the Italian brand Alpine Stars since its inception in 1963.
That’s why the brand continuously researches and develops new technologies and innovations to meet the needs of high-level athletes as well as the highest standards of safety and protection. Through its experience and background in motorsports, Alpine Stars naturally turned to other so-called “extreme” sports, such as mountain biking. As early as 2004, Alpine Stars developed a partnership with Honda for the downhill mountain bike World Cup to provide a premier showcase for the brand and its products. Shortly after, in 2005, Greg Minnaar won the Downhill Mountain Bike World Cup, providing incredible visibility for Alpine Stars and its mountain bike products. Alongside these successes, Alpine Stars developed a special collection for mountain biking consisting of clothing and protection for riding on single-tracks and other mountain trails. The distribution of these began in 2010.
