Ideal for people with bunions as the toe box is large and it's possible to adjust the laces low down the boots to fit any width of ankle and to secure the heel in the boot. I'd tried on other brands like Scarpa, Merrell and Salomon but generally found their widest shoe to still be uncomfortable for someone suffering with bunions. Overall these only took a week of short walks to break in. So far they've kept my feet warm in 0 degrees weather in just a pair of long, thin socks rather than thicker walking socks. No signs of the suede creasing around the toe when I walk, which is what has typically caused the leather to split on other pairs of shoes I've owned, so I expect these to last a while. They're relatively expensive for a pair of walking boots, but given I wear mine daily most of the year and they get wet and muddy consistently without letting any water in I'm happy.
