"Trail running is above all a connection with the mountains. Each race is a meeting with oneself, with others, and with nature, which we have the responsibility to protect."
Benjamin Roubiol, one of the most talented athletes on the current trail running scene, is one of our proud ambassadors. Originally from Cruet, in Savoie, Benjamin grew up in a naturally sports-oriented environment, in the heart of the mountains. From an early age, he developed a passion for climbing, before discovering trail running, a discipline in which he quickly made his mark.
From the outset, he impressed with his endurance and determination. In 2020, he achieved a notable first victory on the Crêtes course. The following year, he confirmed his potential with a 2nd place at the Skyrace des Matheysins, an iconic stage of the Skyrunner World Series. In 2022, he authoritatively won the High Trail Vanoise, before tackling a monument of ultra running: the Diagonale des Fous, which he finished in 14th place for his very first race of over 100 km.
But it was in 2023 that Benjamin entered the legend. After winning the silver medal at the French long trail championships, he was selected for the world championships in Innsbruck. There, he ran an exceptional race: starting cautiously, he overtook his competitors one by one to become the long trail world champion, also winning team gold with Thibaut Garrivier and Baptiste Chassagne.
In 2024, he confirmed his status by becoming the French champion and winning an individual silver medal at the European Championships in Annecy, contributing to the historic triple of the French team. Always humble and focused, Benjamin continues his progression at the highest international level.
With his arrival in Team Asics in 2025, he joins a collective of high-level athletes and continues to inspire an entire generation. Through his sporting commitment and in favor of the environment, his rigor and passion for the mountains, Benjamin perfectly embodies the values of trail running and Hardloop. We are proud to accompany him on this adventure.
